Week 3
Binaural Virtual Barber Shop—Without using sight, this truly immerses the audience in a somewhat realistic experience of getting a haircut. It could have been more believable if the explanation of every movement were omitted.
Meow Wolf—The environment in which the audience is placed for the immersive experience definitely makes one feel as if he has been transported to another realm. The beauty of the artwork is stunning and captivates anyone that experiences it. There is one point where people were going through a fireplace that lead to another room which really seems like traveling through a portal into another dimension.
Mug model with attached geometry was the focus this week so that it can be printed using a 3D printer. Attaching the extra geometry to the rounded surface was not a easy as I expected. Overall, the model was created and is ready for printing.
